We have always been acutely aware of the impact of our business on the environment and the importance of guaranteeing our future and that of our planet.
We aim to prioritise economic development through sustainable management. For this reason, in 2015 we implemented our Sustainability Strategy: Our Planet, Our Life with the intention of basing our business on sustainable management of natural resources, minimising our environmental footprint in every stage of the life cycle, promoting eco-innovation and leading the process of change towards a circular economy.
In order to identify initiatives within the sustainability strategy, we have designed a logo that represents our commitment to sustainability and our desire to accept our responsibility to the planet.
We aim to reduce the environmental impact of the whole supply chain: raw materials; industrial production and waste management; logistics; and the use and end management of waste, promoting re-use and recovery at the end of its useful life.
Resources need to be managed more efficiently throughout their life cycle. To do this, we need to look beyond Ferrer’s business activities and close the circle, moving towards the model of a circular economy.
Protecting our natural capital through sustainable use of the natural resources (energy, water and raw materials) used by Ferrer and minimising the environmental impact in all stages of the life cycle.
Minimising greenhouse gas emissions, making energy and fuel savings, energy efficiency, use of renewable energies and compensating emissions.
