With the aim of reaffirming our continued commitment to digital health, we have just launched the third edition of our Ferrer 4 Future (F4F) innovation programme. The open innovation program aims to empower entrepreneurs and digital health companies to develop disruptive health solutions, using digital technology. Participating start-ups can propose digital healthcare solutions, using new technologies, to respond to the latest challenges presented by Ferrer.
"Through this innovative program, we adopt the path of collaboration to promote future projects of value, both for patients and for the stakeholders that make up the healthcare system," said Tatjana Naranda, Ferrer's R+D director. "We believe in the key role that digital health plays today and will play in the future when it comes to building a more efficient health system, one that is accessible to all sectors of the population."
The challenges require patient-centred solutions that facilitate the daily activity of healthcare professionals treating patients with neurological disorders, both in primary care settings and in specialised neurology clinics, as they care for people with mild cognitive impairment. Solutions should also provide healthcare professionals with accurate tracking tools and features.
"Empowering patients and clinicians with digital health tools to address some of the concerns around cost, equity, and access to healthcare is completely in line with the vision and purpose of Ferrer's digital health department; building a healthier society through digital technologies and contributing to the sustainability of health systems," added Gemma Estrada, Head of Digital Health at Ferrer.
