We look for standards that help us to be better

Our purpose requires us to move forward with rigour.

Certification doesn't change the world. But it can help us change the way we do things. At Ferrer we have a clear purpose: to use business to fight for social justice. We know that this is an enormous ambition, and that is precisely why we need to measure our progress with honesty, rigour and transparency.

 

The certifications we have obtained in recent years help us do this. They are independent assessments that allow us to know how we are progressing on issues essential to our company: social and environmental impact, ethics, sustainability, people's well-being, diversity, equity and the way we relate to our environment.

 

We do not see them as isolated recognitions, but as part of our journey. Each certification challenges us, and pushes us to continue moving forward. It helps us to drive new projects internally, to raise our standards and to turn our purpose into concrete decisions.

  • B Corp

    B Corp certification recognizes our commitment to using business as a force for good, generating value for people, society, and the planet. In our 2025 recertification, we achieved a score of 136.4 points, making us the highest-scoring B Corp pharmaceutical company in the world at the time of certification.

  • Ecovadis

    The EcoVadis Platinum rating recognizes our sustainability performance and the integration of environmental, social, and governance criteria throughout our value chain, placing us among the top-rated companies by this international platform.

  • Ethisphere

    The Ethisphere Compliance Leader Verification™ reinforces our commitment to going beyond compliance by integrating ethics, transparency, and responsibility into the way we do business. Ethisphere has recognized Ferrer as one of the World's Most Ethical Companies®, making us part of a select group of 138 distinguished companies worldwide.

  • CDP

    It recognizes our commitment to environmental transparency and climate action. We have obtained the highest rating (A) in Climate Change and an A- rating in Water and Forests, reinforcing our leadership in key dimensions of environmental impact.

  • LEED

    LEED certification endorses our effort to design and manage more sustainable, efficient, and environmentally responsible spaces, in line with our commitment to caring for the planet. We have achieved LEED certification across 87% of our total surface area.

  • WELL

    WELL certification recognizes our commitment to creating work environments that care for people and promote their health, well-being, and daily experience. Platinum for the L'Illa offices in Barcelona (Spain) and Gold for the offices at the Esplugues pharmaceutical plant (Spain).

  • EDGE Assess

    It recognizes our commitment to gender equity in the workplace across our operations in Spain, assessing representation, pay equity, policies, and our employees' perception of equal opportunity using verifiable data.

  • EU GMP

    Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certifications accredit that our manufacturing facilities for medicines and active pharmaceutical ingredients operate in accordance with the highest international standards of quality, safety, and pharmaceutical control.

  • GDP

    Good Distribution Practices (GDP) certifications guarantee that our medicines are stored, managed, and distributed while preserving their quality, safety, and integrity throughout the entire supply chain.

  • ISO 13485

    It endorses our quality management system for medical devices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and the highest standards of quality and safety.

  • ISO 41001

    81% of centers are certified with ISO 14001 for environmental management.

  • ISO 45001

    All operational centers in Spain are certified with ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety.

  • ISO 37001

    We have certified our Anti-Bribery Management System across Ferrer's entities in Spain.

  • Responsible Care®

    It recognizes our commitment to excellence in safety, health, environment, and social responsibility, promoting responsible and sustainable management of our industrial activities.
