Ferrer has been the only Spanish pharmaceutical laboratory recognized by Ethisphere, a world leader in the definition and promotion of ethical business practice standards, as one of the most ethical companies in the world in its 2026 World's Most Ethical Companies® list. This distinction, one of the most important worldwide, values organizations with the highest standards of business integrity and that carry out responsible corporate practices in the development of their business.

The company, which has the ISO 37001 Certification on anti-corruption and anti-bribery and which last year was recognized by Ethisphere with the American Compliance Leader Verification™, today consolidates its commitment to business integrity, positioning and integrating the ethical culture in its corporate decisions and in the development of its business activity.

"At Ferrer, ethics and responsibility represent a critical element of our purpose to use our business to fight for social justice. The fact that Ethisphere includes us among the 138 most ethical companies in the world reinforces our conviction that it is essential to generate positive social impact from business activity. This recognition is, above all, a reflection of the daily commitment of all Ferrer people to promote a company guided by integrity, respect and the will to contribute to a fairer and more sustainable society," said Ferrer's CEO, Mario Rovirosa.

For her part, Ferrer's Chief Legal, IP & Compliance Officer, Meritxell Casas, remarked: "This recognition highlights a way of acting that defines Ferrer. Our ethics are reflected in how we make decisions and how we relate to each other, with rigour, consistency and integrity, beyond regulatory compliance. We have a strong ethical framework shared by all people in the company, which guides our internal and external conduct and reinforces a way of doing business based on responsibility and transparency."

Evaluation process

To prepare the World's Most Ethical Companies® list, Ethisphere evaluates candidate companies with its Ethics Quotient® methodology through more than 240 documented evidences on their integrity practices. This analysis covers fundamental pillars such as corporate governance, the provision of resources and structure of the programs, internal regulations, and training and communication strategies. It also assesses risk management and audits, investigation processes and enforcement of disciplinary measures, ethical culture, third-party risk management, and commitment to social and environmental impact.

Subsequently, this data is analyzed in detail by a large panel of experts, who examine and contrast the information of each candidate company. This comprehensive process allows for a framework that defines and unifies ethics and compliance best practices in organizations around the world and across industries.
