Ferrer, B Good Day participant at B Lab Spain

A panel of experts debates on a stage in front of an audience during a corporate event about purpose and action.

Ferrer has been one of the companies invited to the 6th edition of B Good Day, the annual event of the B Corp movement in Spain and one of the benchmark events in impact economy in our country.

It is a unique meeting that unites the B Corp community with companies and representatives of academia, government, the third sector and citizens, in which the major issues that will lay the foundations for a more inclusive and sustainable economy have been addressed.

Mario Rovirosa, CEO of Ferrer, participated in the second plenary session of the day, entitled "From purpose to action", a space for debate in which he detailed how to be a "B" corporation and how to bring a company's purpose to the center of action.

During the event, held at the Green Patio in Madrid with an attendance of more than two hundred people, Mario stressed that, "although Ferrer is internationally known for being a pharmaceutical company, in reality, the business is only the means to be able to generate the resources that allow us to reinvest in social and environmental projects. We have set ourselves a much lower profitability margin than usual in our sector. To give you an idea, last year we allocated more than 50% of our profits to initiatives with a clear positive impact on society and the planet".

The session, moderated by Sandra Pina, general manager of Quiero & Sustainable Brands, also included the participation of Willy Díaz, CEO and commercial director of Artiem Hotels and Carlota Pi, Co-founder and CEO of Holaluz.

In line with Ferrer's  purpose of generating a positive impact on society, the organization became part of the B Corp community at the beginning of 2022. Among the wide variety of social and environmental projects in which it collaborates, it is also a strategic partner of Barcelona + B, a public-private initiative that aims to project Barcelona as a benchmark city in the construction of a global movement that promotes transformation and business change to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
