Ferrer strengthens its impact in 2024 with increased social and environmental investment, B Corp leadership and sustainability progress
Barcelona, July 18, 2025. Ferrer has published its 2024 Sustainability Report, reflecting the company’s strong commitment to doing business differently and putting its purpose into action by using business to fight for social justice.
Last year, we increased our investment in social and environmental projects by 55% compared to the previous year. We also achieved a score of 136.4 in our B Corp recertification, becoming the highest-rated pharmaceutical company in the world. All of this while continuing to grow our business: €700 million in revenue and presence in 116 countries.
These results reflect the collective effort of the people in Ferrer:
- 48% of all Ferrer employees are women, women hold 46% of Executive Committee positions and 45% of leadership roles
- We’ve got WELL Platinum certification for our corporate offices
- All our operational centers in Spain are certified ISO45001
- 84% of our waste is recovered
- 100% of our cardboard and paper packaging is sourced without deforestation
- 81% of our sites are ISO14001 certified and 87% are LEED certified
- 100% of our electricity comes from renewable sources
- 70% of employees participate in volunteering
We also allocated €16 million to social and environmental projects and delivered over one million meals to vulnerable communities.
The Ferrer 2024 Annual Report not only highlights these achievements but also honestly acknowledges the challenges ahead. As our President Sergi Ferrer-Salat states in his introduction letter: “We don’t do everything right, and we know we still have a long way to go. But what matters is that we’ve made a decision: to prioritize social justice over shareholder profit.”
We invite everyone interested to read the full report and actively join us on this collective journey.
